- Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully.
- Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning.
- Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
- Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness.
- Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
- Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals.
- Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have extensive knowledge of surgeries within multiple service lines. [Required]
- Must poses strong organizational and logistic skills. [Required]
- Ability to lead others. [Required]
- Ability to function independently as an RNFA. [Required]
- Is highly knowledgeable of the assigned service line(s). [Required]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- Successful completion of an RNFA program sanctioned by AORN
Work Experience:
- 3+ experience as a registered nurse [Required]
- 2+ years as rn in an acute or setting [Required]
- Prior leadership experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Required]

Pay Range:
