ChristianaCare Cardiology is looking for a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their expanding care team at Christiana & Wilmington Cardiac Care units! The selected candidate will collaborate with attending cardiologists to provide acute care services, including initial hospital admissions and follow-up care of cardiac patients. This position is a 10 -hour rotating day/evening shifts with every 4th weekend and holiday requirements. Candidates with Cardiology experience preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs cardiology admissions and provides inpatient follow-up care.

• Appropriate and timely documentation in electronic medical record, including orders.

• Able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment as a member of the multidisciplinary care team. Demonstrates decisive judgment. Ability to also work independently encouraged.

• Contributes to the achievement of established practice goals and objectives and adheres to hospital policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Completion of a master's degree program in nursing or as physician assistant. Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant.

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner as set forth by the Delaware Board of Nursing OR Licensure as a Physician's Assistant by the Delaware Medical Board

• Prefer at least 2-3 years of experience working in an acute care setting; previous experience in cardiology highly desired/preferred.

• BLS/ACLS Certified. DEA required.

• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
