Under the direct supervision of the Cardiac Device Nurse, the Cardiac Device Technician is responsible for :
- ensuring proper patient flow, while providing quality patient care.
- working up Pacer & AICD charts,
- perform necessary procedures for remote follow-up, enrolling new patients or new implant to the Pacer Clinic.
- triage implantable device calls for Pacer Nurse and scheduling device implant patient according to protocol.
- perform remote follow-up and analysis to assist Arrhythmia Speciaisits, in the care and treatment of patients with implantable devices.
- actively seeking information to understand patietn’s circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):
- Certified Medical Assitant
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in a clinical cardiac services setting.
- Minimum of one year experience with device interrogation and programming.
- Documented training in cardiac device care will be considered.
- Cardiac arrhythmia class must be taken withing 6 months of hire.
