Carilion Clinic is seeking an experienced American Board of Pediatrics Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician with an interest in working with medical residents and students to join the Rocky Mount, Virginia section of pediatric primary care at Carilion Children's Pediatric Medicine. Carilion Children’s primary care serves pediatric patients across the Southwest Virginia region with offices located in Botetourt County, Roanoke County, Roanoke City, and Franklin County. The Rocky Mount office is growing and will house two full time pediatricians as well as a collaborative space to rotate pediatric specialties, on site. Enjoy an outpatient practice focused on improving child health and well-being in our community for children birth through adolescence, working a Monday through Friday schedule with shared call, evening, and weekend rotations. This location is 22 miles from the Carilion Children’s Tanglewood Center and partners with the general pediatric team of 18 providers.
Hospital coverage is provided by Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Intensivists, and Neonatologists at Carilion Children's, the regions only Level III 60-bed NICU, 8 bed PICU, and 24 bed pediatric unit. Pediatric expertise and support is available in most subspecialties: Allergy, Anesthesia, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Clinical Genetics, Developmental Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology & Oncology, Intensivists, Neonatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pulmonary, Psychiatry, Psychology, Radiology, ENT and Surgery.
