This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more BC/BE physician will possess a diversified skill set inclusive of general radiography and fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computerized tomography and preferably general MRI. He/she must also be MQSA certified in mammography and be skilled in breast ultrasound as well as in breast MRI and image-guided breast biopsy. Call responsibilities will be confined to telephonic consultations and emergency back-up to the after-hours teleradiology service. This represents an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking physician to join a department undergoing truly transformative changes. The physician should possess a good working knowledge of voice recognition and picture archiving communication system (PACS). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. A formal pay-setting process is used to determine salary. The salary range is listed for this vacancy announcement. Education, experience, board certification and length of practice are considered to determine annual salary. Salary: Applicant's education and length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected.
