| Seeking Anesthesiologists for Excellent VA Staff Opportunity at the Harry S. Truman VAMC, Columbia, MO Position Information The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia, MO is actively recruiting to fill Staff Anesthesiologist that’s Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesia The Anesthesia Section's function is to provide anesthesia services, including all levels of sedation and other modalities of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery and other invasive procedures, as well as interventional and liaison pain relief services. Anesthesia Section comprises of CRNA's and Anesthesiologists. -Duties of the position include:
-Direction of perioperative anesthetic care to patients
-Preoperative Assessments
-Intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring
-Post-anesthesia Care
-Providing anesthetic care for general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, diabetic foot and oral surgery in OR, PACU, ICU ward and clinic settings. In addition, provide cardiac and open-heart cases. No trauma, No OB and kids Assist in the managing of CNRA’s Provider will participate in electronic consultations (e-consult) to improve access to anesthesia care. Will work collaboratively with other specialists as necessary in providing the best care of Veterans. The Anesthesiology Section serves patients across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care for more than 40,000 veterans in an area to include 43 counties in Missouri as well as Pike County, Illinois. Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 5/8th or 4 – 10s. 40-hour week. Call is very light. - Must be U.S. Citizen
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
