You Will Be Responsible For:
Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients’ needs are met and hospital policy followed.
Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations management of assigned unit.

Provides patient/significant other with clear and concise staff education
In collaboration with the Heart Center and other nurse manager’s, provides staff education, maintains unit based competencies and participates in the Annual Education process.
Assess the physical environment of the unit for cleanliness and safety hazards, and responds appropriately to effect a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and the public; evaluates equipment and supplies, and monitors for quality and effectiveness. Participates in EOC as needed.
Prepares/submits monthly unit PI and provides staff with education on variances.
Actively participates in staff meetings on a monthly basis, coordinates staff in-services assists with education, and individual unit orientation.
Collaborates with Nurse Manager to develop and monitor unit budget, ensuring the unit operates in a cost effective manner.
Provide assistance throughout the department and facility with the resolution of unmet expectations and/or problems.
Actively participates in the Cardio, cardiac and pulmonary rehab flow as needed
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Registered Nurse
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered nurse
Charge or lead position held for 1 year

The role of the supervisor is to provide clinical expertise and leadership to nursing staff. The supervisor will model collegial and collaborative behavior between nursing, physicians, and other healthcare providers. The supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical operations on the unit in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
The supervisor will assist staff in difficult patient care situations. The supervisor will intervene and resolve patients and family concerns/complaints as well as investigate and follow up on patient care complaints by the physician and/or staff. The supervisor will update/involve Nurse Manager of pertinent issues on a daily basis. The supervisor will contribute to staff annual evaluations and participate in and provide employee disciplines/warnings under the guidance and directions of the Nurse Manager.
